Approach

Stay Grounded

We are committed to delivering what’s NEXT. Our approach is rooted in development of both ourselves and others. Learning keeps us humble, human and allows us to ideate in our work.

Keep it True

You tell us, what’s the current experience & the desired. We will talk about how we close that gap & then do it.

Be Useful

Our objective is to partner with you to navigate and embed sustainable change. We will use our approach & implementation strategy as a foundation to get you a fresh start.

Plan Elegantly

In our increasingly Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous environment the question isn’t whether plans will change, but will you be prepared when it does. We always are!

Meet Laney Belle

Hi I’m Melanie Vega, but you can call me Laney. I started Laney Belle Inc in 2010 because I had dreams and ideas that were not being met by my employer. There was so much happening but the timing was right, the stars aligned so I just started.

My consultancy was established and I spent the first years focusing on growing, connecting and supporting organizations and small businesses with their operations and Human Resources practices. My team and I have worked across industries in both for and non profit sectors as well as in government. Over the last decade, I’ve spent my time growing, leading, developing others and guiding organizations around all things Talent. My philosophy and values guide me everyday no matter the methodology I’m using. Years ago I heard someone at a conference I was at say, “I don’t want to follow best practices, I want to design NEXT practices!” In that moment I was like OMG SAME SAME! That’s what I’ve been doing ever since. Focusing on what comes NEXT in, around and for Talent.

My career has been spent working across the hospitality, finance and marketing industries which taught me about business, marketing and communications. Constant learning and development has taught me how to use those principles to design organizational structures, build high performing teams that want to work together and architect people programs that attract, develop and engage talent. In the last 8 years, I’ve been focusing on the transformation of all areas of the Human Resources (HR) function from transactional centers of excellence to strategic people partner through Talent Management and Development methodology. This is the work I want to be doing every day…well maybe most days…because you know…self care 😆

Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders
